Happenings

I figure it is time for a broad update. It seems like there has been a lot going on in the last two months, and so I need to write it down. I've slacked a bit writing in my journal, so my blog posts have become a lot of my journal entries.
So baby news...I am almost 21 weeks pregnant. I have been on two sets of Rxs to get me through. I felt pretty yucky up until about 15 weeks and since then, as long as I am on my meds, I feel pretty good. This is such a change from the others. I am enjoying it so much more. I even love that I can do the dishes without running to the bathroom or crying through the experience. We totally thought we were going to have a boy, so we have the perfect name picked out just in case (the ultrasound was not a 100% positive she is a girl). Since finding out it is a girl we've been going through our PAF file (family tree program) and have come up with one name, dare I mention it? Well, it's not set in stone we still have a few months, but we both like Lydia. So far that is it. No weird food cravings. Mostly grossed out by everything, so I eat cereal about 3 times a day.
Kid news...we pulled Ben out of school at the Christmas break. Long story short, we felt that the environment he was in was not good. So I am homeschooling him for the remainder of the year. I will put him back in for 2nd grade. My hat goes off to homeschooling children and mothers--you guys are all saints! I am about 6 weeks into it, and it is VERY HARD! But I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had this situation again.
Grant's news...he is applying/interviewing for jobs. He got one job offer, but we are waiting until Friday when we hear back from another company to make our decision. We are excited to see what happens.
My news...I have laundry to fold, so I'm off. (Ugh...socks!)

Well, this was a surprise!

It's a girl!
Due to arrive on the 4th of July
Grant and I really thought that it was a boy, so this was a surprise! Ben wanted a girl, so we will all be even. Trevor wanted a boy because he wanted a boy. And Karmin still thinks we are talking about her when we talk about the baby. Grant and I are just excited for the new addition! (PS don't be surprised by this news--we've basically only told family up to this point :)

Nice Shades!

For Christmas we bought the Polar Express in 3D because our family loves to watch that movie. Save your money--the movie is awful! The only thing you can see is double images and hardly anything is 3D. Nonetheless, now we are proud owners of 4 sets of 3D glasses.
This week our tv went out. All of the sudden it started to have double images. About 90% of the screen was double imaged. Grant had the great idea to use the 3D glasses and it worked. So now to watch the tv we have to use the 3D glasses. We probably looked kind of funny, but hey it worked. After a couple of days of that, we decided that borrowing a tv from Grant's parents was a lot easier.
