Mr. Trevor James turned 12 today! (How am I this old?)
He requested crepes for breakfast, macaroni and cheese for lunch, and Nana and Papa took us out to Hu Hot for dinner.
Trevor has saved his money for 2 years to buy a wii-u. It finally came on yesterday. So he got to play for most of the day today---truly a treat. Then we went to Hu Hot. When we got home, we had some people over for Trevor to get ordained a deacon and receive the priesthood. He enjoyed some time after that playing with cousins. It was fun and we are proud of him.
This cutie patootie (I'm sure I will still say that about him when he is 52 years old) continues to steal hearts. He has a quiet reverence about him, but can throw in some pretty witty humor when you least expect it. He enjoys mountain biking, acting, and tinkering. He loves spending time with friends, but loves to be home with family too. He makes sure that we have our family fun thing every week and is severely offended if it doesn't happen. He loves camping and scouting (as long as they aren't discussing medical things or having to go in cold water). We are proud of him how he pushes through pain and keeps a happy attitude even when we know he isn't feeling as well as other kids his age. He often naps and is blessed to enjoy reading because he does that a lot when he is just too tired to keep going or his tummy is bugging him. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up. He loves to build. He has a tender heart and is loyal--even when others make it hard to be. We love Mr. Trevor!
