Sweet Fiesta!

After Grant and I got married, my grandparents (yeah, I have the best grandparents) let Grant and I house sit for them until we moved down to BYU. I remember the only game that they had was Scrabble. So we started playing Scrabble, and Grant kept winning, and winning, and winning. Until finally I had had enough and told him one Friday night that we weren't going to bed until I beat him. I finally won at about 2 in the morning. (Only because I realized Grant was generally making up words--and I don't think he has beat me at Scrabble since.)
So you know, Trevor and I have been going at it with Candyland for many months now. I have often tried to get him to play over and over again until I won, but a 4/5 year old doesn't have the same amount of patience that my husband had. Until last night....I finally won! I was so excited. It was about time. I probably didn't show the best sportsmanship that I could have since I was so excited (for instance, I don't know if any other mother would rub it into their child's face by taking a picture of her own accomplishment over his). I laughed to myself when he made me play until he won again--which didn't take long! (Notice, I didn't win by much either.)

Ring, Ring

Hello? Are you there? Yep I am. I'm so excited. After getting my phone fixed (again) it seems to be working. I now can have communication with people outside of my house!

Happy Easter

On Saturday we got to go to the annual Easter Egg Hunt that a family in our ward puts on every year. It is a huge hunt with about 5,000 eggs that the kids can find and then dinner afterward. There are tons of people there and it is a great way to see lots of people we haven't seen in awhile. Luckily the rain stopped just in time for it to start!
Yesterday we went over to Grant's sister's house for dinner--it was more like Thanksgiving. Trevor at the Easter Egg Hunt. Karmin with her Easter stash.
And Ben was here too, but too busy for pictures, I guess.

Happy Birthday Mr. Trevor

Trevor turned the big number 5 last week! It's hard to believe that he is that old. We packed a lot of partying into a few days. Grant had the day off the day before Trevor's Birthday, so we gave him our present--his very own fish. He has been wanting a pet of his "very own" for a long time, so we thought a fish would appease him. And it has. He so originally named his new friend, "Fishey." On his Birthday we played a few April Fool's jokes on each other--one of which Ben did not find amusing. I put blue food coloring in their cereal so when they poured the milk it all turned blue. Trevor didn't mind, but Ben refused to eat. That night we went to Chuck E. Cheeses with his cousins. It was a lot of fun and really busy! The next day we went to the dentist. This is probably one of the kids' favorite places to go. They love it there. Now the count down until the next time we get to go is already on! We went straight over to McDonald's after that and met my Grandma, Aunt Dona, and 2 of her girls for some Birthday partying. This is a fun tradition since Trev's Birthday usually is the week of Spring Break and Dona and the girls are out of school too. As soon as we got home, my dad came over to celebrate. I had a very nice visit with him. Then that night we had the first soccer practice of the season. By the next day I was pooped!
