A few cute pictures of our sweet animals.

A little backstory on our fish...we've had seven little guppy fish that were only supposed to live for about two weeks, and it's about 4-5 years later and they are still living. We got tired of cleaning out the fish tank, so Karmin decided it would be a great thing to get a snail that would help clean the tank.
So we got a snail and within a month, two of our fish were dead. We had to separate the fish from the snail because Karmin was sure that the snail ate the fish. Therefore I had to buy another small fish tank. Within a week of separating them, we found that there were about 25 baby fish in the old tank with the snail. Apparently, fish eat their young and so for these last four or five years they've been eating their babies and now that they were separated this batch had a chance to live.
All at the same time there must have been an "imposter" snail that was attached to the good snail when we bought it. Now we have about 100 baby snails.
Anyway, we started with one 1-gallon tank and two months later we have 3 fishtanks, one fish bowl, and two mason jars separating all the different creatures that can't be together so that they can all live!

Grand Opening

Grant's new building is finally done. He has put in many long long hours. I'm thankful that this day is finally here! Last night I went in and helped put things together because it was date night, and if I wanted to see Grant that was where I needed to be. I was only able to help for a little bit before I had to head back home to take care of kids. When I left last night, I was wondering just how in the world they were going to pull off the open house today. But some how they got it all done and the building looked amazing. They had trick-or-treating, balloon animals, cookies, and everything else to make it fun for kids. We got a personal tour thanks to Grant! It is a gorgeous building, and his office is beautiful.

Crazy Hair Day

Lydia's school earned a crazy hair day. This was our creation of cupcakes on top of her head. We were rushing out the door to make it to the bus on time, so it is difficult to see that they are frosted (a slight) blue and have a cherry on the top.

Pumpkin picking

We took the girls to a farm to pick out their pumpkins. The rule is that they can pick whatever pumpkin they want as long as they can carry it from the field to the car. This was a great idea when they were younger, but now that they are getting bigger and stronger they are finding some huge pumpkins!
The boys weren't able (or didn't want to?) come with us, so we were kind enough and picked out pumpkins for them as well. I love the different shapes that they found. At the end everyone got to enjoy a caramel apple.
